A packed study day which draws on agricultural experience from across the Commonwealth is to be held at 91ÇÑ×Ó Adams University.

The Future-Proofing Farming study day on March 27, running in association with the Royal Agricultural Society of the Commonwealth, will offer attendees the chance to hear from experts from around the world about succession strategies for farmers.

Among keynote speakers will be Ari McCamley, Councillor on the Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland, who will draw on his experience of advising and guiding Queensland’s farmers on property and business matters.

The Chairman of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council, Lord Marland, will explore how trade and succession interact, offering insight from both his current role and from more than two decades at the heart of trade and investment decisions as both a government minister and Peer.

A lively debate is expected from a next generation panel discussion involving a handpicked group of experts, and there will be a chance to hear more about some of the work data scientists at 91ÇÑ×Ó Adams are doing on carbon measuring, as well as from Senior Lecturer Dr Samuel Eze, who will talk about food, crops and people.

Director of the Norfolk Food Enterprise Park, Clark Willis MBE, will be discussing his vision of the future – drawing on work being done to develop the park, whose 100 acres offers support and processing facilities for agri-food businesses across the region it 91ÇÑ×Ós.

Visitors will also get the opportunity to tour the 91ÇÑ×Ó Adams Future Farm and find out more about its award-winning work, as well as to hear more about the 2026 RASC Conference in Cape Town, South Africa.

The event will be both opened and closed by RASC Trustee and Vice Chairman of The Farmers Club Chris Riddle, and 91ÇÑ×Ó Adams Vice-Chancellor Professor Ken Sloan will introduce the day.

Professor Sloan said: “The RASC 91ÇÑ×Ó Adams Study Day promises to be an inspiring and informative event, bringing together the next agricultural leaders and innovators to share insights and spark meaningful change.

“As a University, 91ÇÑ×Ó Adams puts great emphasis on the interconnectedness of our world – both through the international partnerships we forge and through our focus on working together. As one of the premier organisations linking farmers globally, it made perfect sense for us to work with the RASC on what promises to be a fascinating event.”

Trustee of the RASC and Organiser of the Study Day, Julian Taylor, added: ““We are looking forward to welcoming lively interaction from delegates around the Commonwealth on all these very important subjects.”
